Voltrona Farm has been renovated without modifying its rural simplicity and the bedrooms therefore reflect this choice. There are no televisions or air-conditioning. They are simple, warm, essential and comfortable rooms. Towels and sheets are provided. Towels are changed every three days. Sheets are changed once a week. |

By Car: From the North: - Take the A1 motorway. - Exit at Florence-Certosa. - Take the dual-carriageway towards Siena. - Exit at Poggibonsi-Nord. - Follow signs to San Gimignano. From the South: - Take the A1 motorway. - Exit at Val di Chiana-Bettolle. - Follow signs to Siena. - At Siena, take the dual-carriageway towards Firenze. - Exit at Poggibonsi Nord (not at the Colle Val dElsa exit even though it is marked San Gimignano as this will lengthen your journey). - From Poggibonsi, follow signs to San Gimignano. From all directions: - Once you get to San Gimignano, take the main road for Volterra. - Turn left at the first roundabout after going past the town sign; there is a car park to the right of the roundabout. - After 4 km, at San Donato (a small village near San Gimignano), you will see a sign reading Voltrona 1.6 km; turn left and follow the signs to Agriturismo Voltrona. - Voltrona lies at the end of a gravel road, 1.5 km away from San Donato. |

One of Tuscany’s first farmhouse holiday resorts, this family-run property lies at the outskirts of San Gimignano, close to Florence, Siena and Volterra. Fattoria Voltrona is surrounded by extensive gardens where you can relax or read a book. You can also enjoy hiking, horseback riding and cycling along country roads, through forests, villages, archaeological sites and rural hamlets. You can also fish in the farm’s pond and, of course, take a dip in the swimming pool. At Fattoria Voltrona you can appreciate the homely cooking of authentic Tuscan dishes. Dinner is served every evening in the barn, or under the stars on the terrace. Enjoy a feast of genuine flavours in the company of other guests. End the day toasting and sharing your travel stories. During your stay at the Voltrona you can discover the jewels of medieval Tuscan architecture, such as Siena, Colle Val D’Elsa, Certaldo, and Monteriggioni, all located very near the farm. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Vinci, the Sienese Crete and Chianti Classico areas and the Tyrrhenian coast can also be easily visited with the Fattoria Voltrona as a comfortable starting point. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first two nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. One child under 3 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding. One child under 3 years stays free of charge in a baby cot. One older child or adult is charged EUR 17.00 per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
