Our kitchen is renowned for its seasonal and regional specialities. Freshly caught fish, meat from local farms and local venison are personally prepared by our chef. In the afternoon you can enjoy our homemade cakes or fresh wafers à la carte, which can also be served on the terrace. |

The hotel is located in the nature park in Rothaargebirge (mountains), next to the Hochsauerland Höhenstraße, between Winterberg, Bad Berleburg and Schmallenberg. There are many biking paths nearby. Go shopping in Winterberg, use the toboggan run, the bike park, see the museums, churches, castles, meadows, springs, valleys or make a trip to a stalactite cave or a medieval city. Coming from the North: - Take the A7 motorway Hamburg-Hannover, the A2 motorway towards Bielefeld and the A33 motorway towards Paderborn. - Exit at Wünnenberg and go to Brilon, Olsberg then Winterberg. - Turn right 200 metres after the Aral service station, towards Bad Berleburg . - After 8 km you will come to Langewiese. Coming from the South: - Take the A5 Frankfurt-Giessen motorway and exit at Marburg and go to Allendorf, Hallenberg then Winterberg. - Turn left at the second traffic lights after the tunnel, towards Bad Berleburg. - After 8km you will come to Langewiese. Coming from Niederland-Ruhr area: - Take the A44 Dortmund-Kassel motorway; exit at Kreuz Werl onto the A46 motorway towards Arnsberg, exiting for Meschede, Remblinghausen, Bödefeld, Siedlinghausen and Winterberg. - Then as above (coming from the North). Coming from the east: - Take the A44 Kassel-Dortmund, exit Zierenberg, B 251 Korbach, Medebach, Winterberg , then as above. |

This hotel is situated way up high, on the crest of the Rothaargebirge mountains, on the Rothaarsteig hiking trail and the Hochsauerland Höhenstraße. We have been providing hospitality for over 130 years. Our kitchen offers a wide range of cuisines and is personally managed by the owner. Cross-country ski tracks and ski lifts can be reached on foot. As a member of the “Sauerländer Wandergasthöfe“ (Sauerland Hiking Hotel Association), we are among the region’s hiking experts. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 31 days before date of arrival, 10 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified up to 21 days before date of arrival, 20 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified up to 11 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. In case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. One older child or adult is charged EUR 35.00 per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 1.30 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.
